Hi Linda and Skye,

Firstly, Linda thank your for your notes on making navigating the site a lot more user friendly. Hopefully I've put it into practice on this 'file' site.

If you scroll down to the very first "Introduction" post, you will see the link that says "click here, etc" This will then take you to the index listing and then to the actual authors links. Linda, you were right - using *a href* may be time consuming initially, but I think it will work far better.

Since I can't backdate a community journal and have the introduction always at the top, this main introduction will have to go in the bio section of the information page. When you enter the posting part of the library, you'll also see these links on the navigation bar down the side.

This is just a start, and there is still more information I need to include, such as the link to how to post, etc, but I think this will give you a general idea of how it will work.

I also thought it maybe a better idea to keep this journal and use it as the name suggests - a place to store the files. I would format it the same as the Library site (way too tired to do that tonight) and then if I need to make any major updates, (the setting up posts alone will clog peoples flists) the members won't be inundated with a whole heap of posts. All URL's will be linked here, and unless someone comes directly here, they'll only see posts made by members about new fics, etc at the actual library site.

Skye, I haven't yet had a chance to look thoroughly at your LJ light format link, but it sounds like it could work here. If I can keep the graphics on this site as simple as possible, hopefully those people who complain about LJ might not find it so cumbersome to load.

And I also need to explain to you better what I meant about linking to peoples 'tags' - which I'll do tomorrow. I did a test run on my LJ Fiction site, and I didn't have any trouble with it.

Anyway, take a look and see what you think ... but remember this is a very basic start and more stil has to be added. The finished product will look a lot better than this.

Thanks for all your interest and help with getting this project working. I think once the basics are in place, it shouldn't be too hard to maintain.

Well, again its getting late and my eyes are just about to pop out of my head (I think I'll be coding in my sleep)
